As an experiment, it shines. As a functional story with dialogue that could conceivably be spoken by actual humans, not so much.
Everything about NORTH, save for its narrative, feels like something made for a 48-hour game jam.
By combining the very best elements of the Souls games and classic Metroidvania mechanics, Long Hat House has created a game that evolves the very formula to which it pays homage.
